Minamisanriku Trip Update

We’ve been continuing to make trips to Minamisanrikucho to help with the distribution of aid to needy families. Nine months after the tsunami, and the town still looks like this:

引き続き南三陸町へ行って、支援を必要とする家族に物資を配給するお手伝いをさせていただいています。津波が起こった9ヶ月後の町の様子です。

Here are some pictures from November 27^th- 30^th. Four of us went to help with the delivery of 5 truckloads of supplies to Sakana no Miura supply base that we’ve been working out of for the past months.

11月27日から30日のトリップの写真です。4人で、「魚の三浦さん」の配給ベースに送られて来たトラック5台分の物資を配る手伝いをしました。

The first truck was full of boxes of miso – very heavy.

最初のトラックにはおみそが一杯積まれていました。とても重いです。

And here comes another one

もう一台来ました。

More than 15 tons on the first day.

最初の日に15トン以上の物資が届きました。

The next day, we went to pick up fishing boats that had been sent from Hokkaido.

次の日、北海道から送られて来た漁船を受け取りに行きました。

After 3 days of hard work, happy with new friends.

3日間の大仕事が終わったあと、新しい友人とくつろいでいるところ。
